About the Business
The Worshipful Company of Builders' Merchants (WCoBM) includes many leading figures in the industry from merchants of all sizes and types, buying societies, buying groups, the BMF and product and service suppliers. 1. To encourage professional and social interaction and the exchange of information between those concerned with the business of Builders' Merchanting. 2. To support and encourage UK builders' and plumbers' merchants, distributors and ancillary trades to bring about a thriving and prosperous industry through co-operation and interaction.
3. To promote and increase our charitable fund so that it can continue to make sizable donations annually to encourage education and training within our industry as well as support the Lord Mayor's Appeal and a range of other worthy charities. Livery companies are not secret organisations, but membership is by invitation only and is a measure of an individual's contribution to the industry.
