Objective:
Due to my homesick Thai wife wanting to return and stay in Thailand with our young Daughter, I intend to seek work in the Far East or Middle East, using Thailand as my base.
The ideal location would be Singapore, due to its close proximity to Thailand and good travel links, although most Far East locations would be considered.
I have spent a considerable amount of time in Thailand and other parts of Asia, also I have worked in Saudi Arabia, so I am familiar with the Middle East and parts of Asia, and work in hot and humid countries.
I am looking for Short-term contracts, Long-term contracts, or permanent employment of up to 10 years.
I am intending to become a permanent ‘ Ex-Pat ,‘ eventually retiring to Thailand.
The post I am seeking would be plumbing related, and the position would be Tradesman to foreman/inspector, but other positions would be considered.

The work involved making sure all work and materials conformed to specification.
Also carrying out water, drainage and a small amount of air conditioning testing.
I worked for an Italian Company and was responsible for final hand over of completed sections of various Airport Buildings, including the Main Terminal and Hotel Building.
I represented Aster, the Italian company, and had to deal mainly with the Main contractors, Hochtief a German Company and Parsons Daniel the American consultants.
Towards the end of my contract I assisted the commissioning Engineers with their commissioning program on all mechanical services.
1978-1997 Self-Employed Sub Contractor
Carrying out all types of Plumbing & Heating installations, mainly as a self employed tradesman, but also a considerable amount of Commercial work on new office complexes in Guernsey Channel Islands, as a Sub Contractor to a large local Mechanical Services Company.
1997-1998 Self-employed Sub Contractor
Carry out renovation work on large block of flats in Paris France. Work involved Plumbing, Electrical, Gas work, Tiling and most other building Trades.

Carrying out all types of Plumbing & Heating installations, including electrical wiring of domestic installations and central heating control systems.
Install Luxury Bathrooms including carrying out all tiling and building work
The locations I have worked in the UK include several years in London, Wales, Devon, Cornwall, and Guernsey Channel Isles.
I have a considerable amount of experience tiling, using Ceramic, Marble & Granite tiles in domestic situations.
Additional Experience
Although not a qualified Electrician I have extensive experience in domestic wiring installations including Central Heating control systems.
I also have experience in small construction works.
During a recent visit to Thailand I assisted the local builders when they constructed a two-story house I built for my wife’s parents. I carried out all the Electrical wiring and plumbing, and a small amount of tiling, so I am familiar with the Thai methods of construction and way of working.
Activities and Hobbies
In the past my interests have been Flying, Gliding and Parachuting.
Although not currently in practice I am a fully qualified glider pilot, with a small amount of instructing experience.
Nowadays my interests are in traveling I have visited Australia/New Zealand several times and Thailand about nine times, to mention but a few!
My future interest will be to make a home in Thailand for my wife and daughter. |
